Sea Anemone
Sea anemones are small, soft-bodied invertebrates that attach themselves to rocks and pier structures. They have tentacles with stinging cells to capture plankton and small fish. Found in rock pools or attached to submerged surfaces near Southend Pier, sea anemones add vibrant color to the intertidal zone.
