Dogfish
Dogfish are small, slender sharks commonly found on the seabed in the Thames Estuary. They feed on small fish, crustaceans, and squid. Anglers sometimes catch dogfish from Southend Pier while fishing at night. These harmless sharks are easily recognized by their long, cylindrical bodies and small dorsal fins.
