Southend Pier Railway is a 3 ft narrow gauge railway that runs for 1.25 miles along the length of Southend Pier, providing passenger transport from the shore to the Pier Head.

Pier trains run on a half hourly basis, at the hour and 30 minutes past the hour from 10:30am. The trains travel at 8-10mph and when travelling through the points the speed drops to 5mph. The current trains went into service in 2021.
